Animal ID: A1253095Li'l Darlin' (female)

Norwich Terrier Mix    Age: Senior

Health: Vaccinations Current

This adorable mature gal came into the Riverside County Animal Control - Coachella shelter as a little lost dog, but her previous guardians have not come to claim her and she is now in need of a new loving fur-ever home. Could it be yours, please? There are so many advantages to adopting mature animals. You already know what they are going to look like and what size they will be, and you will know their personalities sooner, rather than waiting through those sometimes very trying development stages to find out who they will become and they are usually already house trained. Mature animals are more poised, and in many ways that makes them ... (Read More)easier to train. They are usually often so grateful to find a new family after spending time at the shelter, that they become trusted and loyal friends and adapt to their new homes very quickly! Southern California shelters are all bursting at capacity, and more dogs than ever before are being euthanized at an alarming rate. Often time, the older dogs in the shelter are overlooked and never have any hope of adoption. Many of these dogs have been thrown away by the families that have had them their whole lives and they are scared, alone, and have given up hope. Please consider adopting this deserving dog or another mature dog from your local animal shelter and save a precious life today! Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, a microchip and vaccinations. There is also a $16 license fee for Riverside County residents only. For more information about this darling girl, please call the shelter at (760)343-3644 and reference Animal ID # A1253095, or better yet, come on by the shelter for a meet and greet! Rescue Me ID: 15-07-07-00700Abigail (female)

Norwich Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Abigail is a nice little girl who LOVES humans and is excellent in the car and on a leash. Excellent walker/hiker. Her long legs are perfect for getting out and exploring LA's hiking trails. Lots of spunky energy. Plus, she's about 15 pounds, so she really can go everywhere with you! She's excellent in the home. Completely house-trained. Sleeps through the night. Loves to sleep on the bed with her human, but she's also fine in her dog bed. Will also warm your lap when you're chillin' and watching tv. And her terrier hair doesn't shed!! Only want one dog? You're in luck!! The perfect home for Abigail is one where she is the only dog. Abigail ... (Read More)is a bit of an alpha girl so some dogs can find her to be a bit much. She likes dogs; it just has to be the right match. She's fine with large dogs, but is also ok all by herself. And of course, it would also be great if her human is home a lot or can take her along. Not sure you're ready to commit? How about a trial??? We are always looking for fosters. You supply a temporary home and some love. . .we supply everything else! It's a great way to see if you're ready for a full-time companion. Here's what Abigail's current foster mom has to say about her: I have a sweet little girlfriend who's looking for her forever home. She's an exotic beauty. . .check-out her Mohawk and slight Fu Manchu/Andy Rooney eyebrows! She also has the most loving, quiet personality. She's happiest when cuddling, but also loves outside/car adventures and wagging her tail -- without barking! Favorite pastimes include looking lovingly up at her person while wagging her tail, following her person while wagging her tail, or napping on the highest part of the couch. She's super chill and very sweet, she just needs the right love connection. She's great with women, and warms-up to men, but it just takes a bit longer. . .treats help! Abby sleeps through the night, is house-trained and is quite the acrobat -- she does a handstand when she piddles! She is such a sweet little thing. She's not a barker and would be an excellent companion for someone who wants a couch buddy or a car buddy. She's sweet to everyone she meets and every member of the family is her favorite ;-). If someone falls asleep on the couch she'll quietly share a naptime with them and keep their toes warm. She's looking for some love that she'll return (in spades!) every chance she gets. Abigail is spayed, microchipped, and current on all shots. She's in good health and thought to be 6 or 7 years old. She's really a lovely girl! Please consider making her a part of your family. --- Abigail is a Norwich/Norfolk Terrier mix and about six or seven years old. She's up-to-date on her shots, spayed and microchipped. Most of all, she's ready for a Forever Home! Doggone Crazy Animal Rescue, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, treating, and rehoming dogs in the greater Los Angeles area. PIease Read Before Adopting a Norwich Terrier in California
Norwich Terrier Dogs can make good pets in California if they match your IifestyIe. Norwich Terriers are nearly identical to Norfolk Terriers, by which they differ only cosmetically (These two Terriers were once considered to be the same breed.) Norwich Terriers have an excellent disposition, are wonderful with children, and typically can get along with other pets. Norwich Terriers need to be with people and should have good obedience training. Housebreaking may require some patience. Norwich Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
