|Rescue Me ID: 15-03-04-00613BRANDY (female)|
BRANDY was saved from Montgomery County Animal Services on 28th February 2015. We believe her to be a Norwich Terrier mix, but are not certain of that. BRANDY was diagnosed as being heart-worm positive and we have her scheduled for treatment the week of 12th March 2015. BRANDY is a typical lap-terrier that likes to be wherever you go and will climb any barricade or obstacle to get to be where you are. She is confident being amongst puppies and large dogs and is more than happy to let the big dogs know to get out of her space. BRANDY is a loving affectionate girl that will climb into your lap and snuggle down at any and every opportunity. She is agile and she is smart and will pick up on any kind of training very quickly. BRANDY is looking for a home that has the time to give her to train her and work with her on obedience, this not only helps bonding but will set boundaries and guidelines and allow BRANDY and her new family to learn each others personalities and body language. BRANDY being a small dogs is not in need of a large yard, but she still does need that mental and physical exercise and stimulation appropriate to her size. She is a young girl and has lots of years ahead of her so an active life-style now would suit her best. BRANDY is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, as mentioned she will be getting treated for heart-worm disease and is micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 26 August 2013 and at the time of rescue weighed 12 pounds, which seems a good weight for her. BRANDY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $300. Transport - West Coast Although LOCATED in TEXAS we are using Paws Without Borders, a highly reputable animal rescue transport company to re-locate our dogs from rescue to meet their families along the West Coast, raveling up I5 as far as Everett, WA (This allows us to save more dogs from the high rate kill shelters here in Texas). This is a private company and their transport fee (which is paid directly to them) are $150, $200, $250 depending on the crate size. Most of our dogs will be the $200 or $250 crate size. This fee is in addition to what you would pay the rescue for the adoption fee. If you are interested in adopting this precious soul, out application process and form can be found and submitted on our website under the APPLICATION tab. By going to the GSD tab on our website and clicking on her picture you will be able to see more photo's of this little gem. www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org (Less)

Norwich Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. Norwich Terriers are nearly identical to Norfolk Terriers, by which they differ only cosmetically (These two Terriers were once considered to be the same breed.) Norwich Terriers have an excellent disposition, are wonderful with children, and typically can get along with other pets. Norwich Terriers need to be with people and should have good obedience training. Housebreaking may require some patience. Norwich Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
