Rescue Me ID: 17-07-15-00460Finley (male)

Norwich Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Date into Rescue: 6/3/2017 Reason for being in rescue: found as stray. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? heartworm positive. Finley has tested positive for heartworms. Please check with your vet about taking home a dog that is being treated with the 'slow kill' method of treatment. He will be sent home with a years worth of heart worm prevention. Weight: 12 lbs Height: Est 11' at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? No, as long as I am leashed walk and can play I will be just fine. What kind of home would be best for me? My ideal home would be kicking it back on the sofa with my family watching a ... (Read More)movie, maybe even snagging a little popcorn. I would also love to go on walks with the family and play around with the kids. What is my personality like? I'm Finley and I just so happen to be one of the cutest out of the bunch here at CPR! I was found walking down the street in a small southern town all on my lonesome and picked up by animal control. Luckily I got out of there and I am now looking for a family to call my own. I'm scruffy everywhere, and I really mean everywhere..with amber colored eyes and I'm believed to be some type of terrier mix. When first meeting humans I can be overwhelming, but only because I am just soooo excited about meeting new people! I just can't help it. I like to jump right in your lap and greet you, If only I could really talk I would probably talk your head off! After getting out of my crate and having some attention I tend to relax a little more. I would love to go on car trips with you and maybe share some yummy potato chips while listening to the radio. I find it very easy to connect with people, without even trying.. just wait and see! If you are interested in taking me home I will be more than happy to meet you! How do I act when I first meet new people? I'm thrilled to meet everyone! More tips and tidbits: I am curious about cats, but a good kind of curious. I won't hurt them! House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: Estimated birth date 6/5/2016 Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. (Less)
