     Rescue Me was one of the best things that ever happened in my life. I placed my beloved Persephone on this site as I am ill and did not know if the future would allow me to provide for her needs. My recovery was being severely impacted due to the stress I had worrying about Persi's safety and care. Within hours of placing my ad, I heard from some of the most wonderful people on earth. The folks were truly empathic, sincere animal lovers, and it was very difficult to make my final choice as to who would be Persi's adoptive 'forever family'. Just having that weight lifted from my shoulders was the best medicine and like having a life insurance policy for my baby. The Mayo Clinic has started me on a treatment program. I have a 75% chance of full recovery in the next year. The family I selected are delighted at the possibility that Persi may be able to grow old with me, but if anything changes, they will take her at anytime. I am so happy, I can now focus totally on getting well and making these days with Persi the best ever. I took her to Petco yesterday and let her run around the store with the manager. Persi loves Petco as she went to obedience school there and graduated from the Advanced classes with honors. Also, this wonderful family I chose has a Norwich Terrier already and understands how sensitive their digestive systems are. The Mom recommended a dog food and Persi loves it. I can't tell you how grateful I am to Jeff and to all the terrific people who make this site possible and I just donated $50 to their cause. I wish I could do more, but I intend to spread the word to my friends and family members about Rescue Me. I hope all the families looking for a new pet addition will be as lucky as I was.
